Privacy Policy
How MathBinder handles account, learning, organization, and support information.
Privacy at a glance
MathBinder collects only information needed to provide accounts, classes, learning activities, progress, support, licensing, and security. Access is limited by role and organization. MathBinder does not ask users to place passwords, grades, or student records in public forms.
Important: This policy must be reviewed by MathBinder’s owner and qualified counsel before public commercial or school launch.
Information we process
- Account and verification details, such as name, email, role, and login status.
- Parent-child and school-authorized enrollment relationships.
- Organization, term, class, membership, invitation, license, and seat records.
- Assignments, lesson completion, notes, saved items, evidence, mastery attempts, scores, and badges.
- Support messages, security events, audit history, and essential technical logs.
- Subscription status and payment-provider references; MathBinder should not store full payment-card numbers.
How information is used
- Provide and secure the service.
- Connect authorized learners with families, teachers, classes, and assignments.
- Save progress across devices and display authorized reports.
- Manage premium access, licenses, seats, trials, and account recovery.
- Respond to support requests and maintain audit records.
- Improve accessibility, reliability, and learning workflows.
Visibility and sharing
Students see their own learning information. Verified parents see connected children as authorized. Teachers and administrators see only learners and records within their assigned classes or organization scope. Service providers receive only information needed to operate their function and must be governed by appropriate agreements. MathBinder does not sell student personal information.
Retention and account changes
MathBinder preserves learning work when a class, license, subscription, school relationship, or future Canvas connection ends, unless deletion is requested or law requires another result. Retention periods should match educational, contractual, security, and legal needs. Cancellation should stop paid coverage without silently erasing student work.
Choices and requests
Authorized users may request access, correction, export, connection review, or deletion through the Contact page. MathBinder must verify identity and authority before changing a minor’s or organization’s records. Some security, transaction, or audit records may be retained when legally required.
Children and school use
A minor may be authorized by a verified parent/caregiver or through an approved school process. Schools remain responsible for their notices, permissions, and legal basis for student use. MathBinder should use privacy-protective defaults and avoid public student reporting.
