Terms of Use

Rules for using MathBinder accounts, lessons, classes, and premium features.

Agreement and review

By using MathBinder, users agree to use the service lawfully, protect account access, respect educational content and other users, and follow the rules below. Parents, schools, and organizations are responsible for authorizing minors and managing their assigned users.

Important: These terms are a launch draft and must be reviewed by MathBinder’s owner and qualified counsel before public commercial or school launch.

Accounts and authorization

Provide accurate information, keep credentials private, and use one permanent identity rather than creating duplicates. A parent/caregiver or authorized school must approve a minor’s access. Teachers and administrators may use only records within their authorized scope.

Acceptable use

Do not disrupt the service, bypass access controls, impersonate another person, upload harmful code, expose student information, misuse AI or assessment tools, or copy and redistribute protected materials beyond allowed educational use.

Learning and assessment

MathBinder supports instruction and practice but does not replace professional educational judgment. Teachers and schools remain responsible for assignments, grades, accommodations, placement, and high-stakes decisions. Automated or AI feedback must not independently determine grades or mastery.

Premium access and billing

Paid plans, trials, licenses, and seats provide the features shown at purchase or allocation. Coverage may have priority rules when family and organization access overlap. Payment failure may trigger a stated grace period. Cancellation ends future paid coverage but should not erase saved student work.

Content and external services

MathBinder owns or licenses its original site content. Linked or embedded resources remain subject to their owners’ terms. Users retain ownership of their original notes and submitted work while granting MathBinder the limited permission needed to store and display that content for the service.

Availability and changes

Features may be updated for safety, law, accessibility, or reliability. MathBinder may suspend accounts or access that threaten users, data, or the service. Material term changes should be posted with a new effective date and any notice required by law or contract.
